Most of us aren't running away from God, we're just running toward everything else first. Money when we're anxious. Politics when we're afraid. Pleasure when the pain gets too loud. And we call it survival. But Amos saw it coming thousands of years ago, a man fleeing a lion, only to meet a bear. Escaping the bear, only to be bitten by a snake in his own living room.
